This has been replaced, unknown to Aubuchon, with the 6113 model. It is brushed stainless on top and the plates have the grill ridges, like a Foreman. They were very nice about it when I called them, are issuing a full refund and told me to keep the product. However, I'm still on a quest to find a reasonably priced machine with flat plates. If you were to grill something really greasy on here in the open grill position, like ground beef, the grease would overflow as the "drip" area around the plates are not very deep. Also, the plates don't fit very tightly, so your grease could wind up under the plate in the electrical area. If you order this I would suggest using only in the closed position for sandwiches.Customer Review: Your taste buds will love it

They all say "easy clean up", but this product really means it. A damp paper towel is all I have ever used. If you ever make a ham and cheese sandwich, you will love it even more with this press. If you ever do a tortilla wrap stuffed with anything, you will love it even more with this press.
One of my favorite cold weather meals is tomato soup and grilled cheese...Wow, I can get two perfect grilled cheese sandwiches in less then 2 minutes.
I bake my own bread and my slices are a little thicker than the store-bought brands, but this is no problem.
I bought it. I like it.

it s very good and powerfull machine. you can press the sandwich and get a good crusty bread. the only think i didn t like it s very hot all over so extra cautions. overall a good choise
