Customer Review: only electric teapot with whistle I could find

This was a replacement for the one I had for 5 years. The old one started to leak. This is just as fast and I love that it whistles. When I'm busy in another part of the house, this feature can be very important. Great for an easily distracted person.
The delivery was quick BUT the outside box came with a very large hole from shipping which extended to the inner box, which also had a hole. I was pleased that it didn't have any effect on the product itself because I was in the need of a cup of tea by then.

There is a spark that comes from the plug-in every time I used this item. I tried several outlets and at 2 different homes. The result was the same, and I want to return it. I think it is dangerous!
