Over the years, I've always purchased the cheapest can opener available at Wal-Mart. But, I didn't know any better. The West Bend is the real deal. This can opener has a good weight and height, allowing you to easily open the large 32oz or 48oz cans that the cheaper can openers really struggle with. And you don't have to remove the label away from the track area. It just works; it opens cans with no hassle. What an idea.Customer Review: Best Can Opener!

I bought this for my Mom after seeing her struggle with several useless low priced can openers. The difference is amazing. It's not that expensive when you consider you won't have to replace it for quite a while.It works beautifully and it also looks great on the counter. I'm so glad I read the reviews and bought this can opener. The main thing I wanted was for it to easily catch the can opener right when I put it to the edge and if it was quiet that would be great too. This does both and I'm very Happy! It is very sturdy and won't tip over. I got the silver one and it is also gorgeous on my counter. I looked at all the others and I'm delighted I choose this one. If you need a electric can opener this is the one to get...I have had this can opener over 12 weeks now and have never had a problem with it...it will open up the big 26oz cans too...I got RA over the summer and needed to get a can opener...after reading many reviews on all types of can openers I went with this one and I love it...Oh and it is easy to use and it looks nice as well...My Grandma has RA too so we got her one and she was on cloud 9 after using this can opener...I spent so much money on 3 other BAD can openers before I got this..SO believe me when I say this is the only can opener you will need...
