I bought this in red, and love it. It opens cans without hesitation, and on top of that, IT'S QUIET! Not completely quiet, but much quieter than most can openers. And the sleek design looks nice on my countertop as well. The lever that holds the magnet can also be folded down when not in use, so it's not sticking out.
I'd definitely recommend this!

We have tried several stainless steel can openers and this is by far the absolute best. We are pleased with the design and functionality. It does just what a can opener is supposed to do. We have tried cuisarts and they failed our expectations. A well thought out appliance that has not failed to make a clean cut, magnetically hold the cut out & grip the can sufficiently during the process. It is reasonably priced, appearance is modern, and it is easily cleaned at the puncture blade & rotary mechanism.......no problems in the past few months of use, a joy to use for someone with manipulitive hand issues such as arthritis or carpal tunnel such as myself.Customer Review: Excellent product

I just had to take a minute to say this one is perfect. Like a few of the other reviewers I've bought several in the last year that were hard to use & and just quit after a short time.
This West Bend is so easy you don't even have to look at it to attach
the can......any size & it just somehow grabs it. Pets don't know it's time to eat until they actually smell the food...it's that quiet.
I would have expected to pay a lot more for something this efficent
and sleek looking.
