Given all the critical reviews, I was hesitant to buy this toaster. Finally, my old toaster broke and I decided to give it a try. I've been using it for a few weeks now. I've not yet tried the bagel setting, but find it works very well for toasting bread and English muffins -- quick and consistent.

For the price, this toaster is dreadful. You cannot adjust for a lightly browned piece of toast. Everythng comes out totally toasted or too dark no matter what setting you choose. No wonder it was on sale.

This has to be the worst toaster ever made! I was SO excited when I found it---fast & takes up less room on counter. Those are the only good things I can say about this toaster! The slot is too small for two slices of bread! If they overlap, one gets burnt, the other is mostly just warm. I'm returning mine!!

I mistakenly thought this was one of those kind of toasters where the bread slowly slides past a heating element that toasts it and then it drops out of the bottom. I remember those toasters when I was young... They made THE best toast! (I wish they'd bring them back!!) Instead, I get a gimmicky toaster that doesn't even toast one half of the bread or toast it very dark! I had to send it back, it was just plain lousy!
I would NOT recommend this toaster!
When IS someone going to make a good toaster??!! I have yet to find one... Maybe they should look to the past to make a better one?!
