Customer Review: 100% reliable, perfect for hard boiling

NOTE: I have used this unit for hard-boiling only.
It does hard-boiling to perfection 100% of the time for me. I have used the unit over 2 years now - about every other week. The only improvement I would like to see is a noise level adjustment on the timer alarm or perhaps even an "auto off" when done without a timer - but there are probably safety reasons why they don't do that. The timer is very loud (which is good if you are in the other room, but bad if you have sleeping kids/spouse in the house as I do when I work late, so I just use it in the basement :) ). During operation however, is silent. I have used it for various eggs variations (shell color, shell thickness, egg size, organic/regular, etc) and have never over or under done a hard-boiled egg yet! There is really is almost not clean-up, except for a wipe-down or quick brush-off via scrub brush every now and then. I would probably not go to the hassle of hard-boiling eggs without this device.
I have never used the company's support, so I can't comment how well they respond to issues.

Quickly poaches up to 4 eggs; soft-cooks or hard-cooks up to 7This versatile egg cooker serves eggs any way you like them--poached for Eggs Benedict, hard-cooked for spinach salads or deviled eggs, or soft-cooked for serving in an egg cup. Completely foolproof, this appliance only requires that you fill the base with the proper amount of water for the number of eggs you?re cooking and then flip the power switch. An alert sounds when eggs are ready. The cooker has a removable rack that holds up to seven eggs for hard- or soft-boiling. A separate poaching pan with an easy-to-clean nonstick interior holds a total of four eggs. The heat-resistant base stays cool while eggs are cooking and a clear lid lets you check progress. The cooker also comes with its own measuring cup that has a pin in the bottom for piercing eggshells when soft-cooking (to keep them from cracking during cooking).
