I bought this to use at a business meeting where "turns" are 1 minute long. When you hit "stop" and "reset" it forgets what the timer was set to. When you hit "stop" then "start" again, it just continues from where it left off. It doesn't remember the time you last set it to -- so you have to type 100 again to time for another minute. I need a programmable timer that will remember several settings -- so I have to buy a different timer -- so that our business meetings aren't full of people trying to type 100 into the timer. I thought it would be nice to have 10 buttons on the timer -- but it wasn't the right timer for my purposes. Also, the magnet doesn't seem strong enough for the fridge, and it doesn't seem sturdy enough to take a fall.

I use it as my alarm clock. Of course, it doesn't tell time, so it makes me look at the clock on the wall and I quickly judge the hours/minutes of sleep possible, and enter that. Pleased. When I go on a trip, using this method I carry another alarm also...just in case.

I picked up this timer because our two previous timers were not very reliable. My husband torched a cheese pizza because one of them never chimed telling him that his time was up. The West Bend 40005X had some great Customer Reviews, so I thought I'd give it a try. And it's great! I love how you just type in the time and click "start". It's so easy. And the buzzer is loud enough, so that I can hear it from another room.

Simple and easy to use. Nice that it times down to seconds. Bought this to replace my old West Bend timer. The new one is a little larger and heavier than the one I had, and is designed to stand up on the counter. It has a clip but because of the design, it is awkward if clipped to clothing and tends to flop around. Overall I like it, but wish it balanced itself better when using the clip.
